Use the following checklist to verify a complete submission.


  1. Complete the main garage application [ get it here ]


  2. If campers / travel trailers, complete the camper supplement. If dealer of another type then include a complete description of what they sell and the extent of the service on what they sell. Provide percentage breakdowns on new vs. used sales and percentage of repair operations. Include detail description on repairs. [ get it here ]

  3. Complete the driver schedule. Make sure to fill in job duties or titles. Include information regarding hiring and firing practices and minimum age and MVR requirements.


  4. Include MVR's for each developed driver. This is a must if there are service vehicles.

  5. If the business is not a new venture, request loss runs for at least 3 years. We may request these, particularly if:

    • There have been losses
    • the account is of a certain size where it will be required by the company guidelines
    • the account may have to be submitted due to unusual characteristics

    Obtain 3 year hard copy loss runs directly from the company. The insured is entitled to receive these, and just needs to request them from the prior agent.

  6. Write a narrative about the account. This just needs to be a short description of the account. As an example:
    "The insured is a new venture selling smaller camper trailers and occasional used motor home. Some minor repairs are conducted by the insured, but major repairs, such as engine and generator work are subbed out to independent mechanics. Insured has 5 year experience selling travel trailers for X dealership and most recently was sales manager. will be selling used trailers and campers only."


  7. Use ACORD applications for additional coverages
